It wasn't in a SeaRay, but bear with me. I went down to Emeryville last night so I could ride back to Sacramento on a 37' Formula today. What a nice ride it was. Once done at the fuel dock, the owner says "let's go, who's drivin'". He looks at me and says "you're it, hop up there". With a quick tutorial on how to leave the slip with twin screws I was pulling her out and we were on our way. I spent quite a bit of time at the helm today, switching off between myself and two others. It sure is something operating a boat of this size when you're used to ski boats and run-abouts. This was my first time on the bay and I got to run her from Emeryville to the Carquinez Bridge for my first stint. I learned a lot today and had a great time doing it. If anyone ever gives you the opportunity to operate a larger boat than you're used to, you owe it to yourselft to give it a go. It's been a long day and it's time for dinner. Happy boating
