Full Synthetic Oil

I changed the oil in my two 4.3 Mercusiers today, I used Full Synthetic oil, last year I used a Synthetic Blend. Is this a good idea?

Full synthetic oil is always a good idea, I've benn running it in every engine I own except our Cadillac SRX and only because dealership chafes that oil , I run full synthetic AMS oil in my boat which are mans diesels
