I have fuel gauge problems and we are trying to find the sending unit on the fuel tanks. So my question is, does anyone know the location of the tanks, and if the sending units are at all accessible? Down in the engine bay it isn't obvious. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Thanks that helped me find both tanks and sending units. Now that know where they are I feel stupid having ever not known. They're pretty obvious.

Both of mine did not work when we got our 2009 55, Pretty sure its the same system as yours. I bought both of the ultra sound sensors for the tank only to find out it was the gauge. Sensors were around $500, Gauges $50. You also have to program the sensors for the size of your tank on a laptop with their program. PITA. If you can't find sensors I have 2 if thats what it is. I personally would try the gauges first.

So I did purchase one new gauge which did not seem to fix the problem it reads full all the time. The plan is to run a wire from the sensor direct to the gauge to see if the problem is the wire. If not it could be the sensor. We're wondering if there's any way to get the sensor out due to the lack of clearance above. I was unaware of the ultrasound sensors can you give me more info on those?

Thanks for the update. How is the reliability? Does it bounce around a lot or is it steady?

1 more question: I'm trying to figure out the exact part to order, based on your photos I'm confused on that. I see Kodiak Controls, I also see SSI Technologies 10466.3 PN, along with ULINX USPTL4. Do you know what I would order to get everything needed? Or who the vendor was that you ordered from?

Thanks in advance

Jeff

The gray ssi puck is the fuel sending unit that bolts in the top of the tank. Look at yours to make sure it is the same. The Blue box and flash drive is what you will need to program it. Kodiak Controls furnished everything, Just call them and tell them the part # on your sending unit,It might not be the same as mine. They were very nice to work with.
