fuel indicators reversed

2006 340 DA, gas, 8.1's with smartcraft.

My fuel guages are reversed; left is actually the right and vice versa. The guages on the dash and the smart craft both give the level for the wrong tanks.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Just switch the tanks to the opposite side? Problem solved!

What do you mean by switching the tanks? Is there a way to go into the smartcraft system and re-label the tanks? I couldn't find it if there is?

No, just pull each tank out and move it to the other side along with the wires! :grin:


I'm sure someone will chime in with a quick easy fix. You could swap the wires on the back of the fuel gauges?

in smartcraft menu should be settings for tank 1 and tank 2.
looks like wrong tanks are assigned to port and stb side
your manual should show you how to access menu settings
(hold "mode" + "+" together for 10 sec <)
write down all settings before you make any changes because smartcraft default settings may not apply to your boat
