Ok after a few weeks in Europe, and Easter coming, oh and 2 weeks of crap weather since I have been back. The last couple of times we have been out, I was aware we below my minimum fuel level, 80L per side, which I monitor by fuel flow meters.

So I went down to the boat this morning (Sunday) as we were going to a friends for lunch, to refuel the boat for next weekend.

I decided to put 200l a side in, as theta should have sat me about 3/4 full.

It was blowing a gale, but I managed the boat out of the pen and onto the fuel wharf by myself, oops had the Labrador with me!

When the first tank clicked off at 170L I was scratching my head, then the port clicked off at 163. Figure I have forgotten to reset the meters sometime in the last few months.

The plus side was getting away from the marina with a dry dog! First time for everything

Based on your boat and year, I'm assuming you (or a previous owner) added the fuel flow meters. That being the case, depending on what meters you have, and how they are hooked into your electronics, you may be able to interface your fuel tank level senders allowing your displays to use the level in the tanks. You would need to have the fuel flow system connected to some type of display that tracks all of these parameters such as a NMEA2000 multifunction display as the flow meters themselves don't normally keep track of fuel levels, just burn rates. This may require some additional electronics to achieve.

I have northstars, they have Flowmeters in the lines, they are accurate.

Basically I am presuming I have had a memory fade on one top up, and not added the fuel in. I generally do reset the meters at the fuel wharf or straight after.

The amount of fuel I was out was consecutive with a top up at some time, or I added a 100l short onto to total.
