Hi all
Any way to test the gauge.
I’m hoping it’s not the sender as it looks difficult to remove!!
The connections are G S and I

I is 12 volt positive Ignition
G is ground
S is tank Sender

Normal US/SAE marine senders are 240 - 33 ohm (Empty-Full)
So open circuit the gauge should be at Empty, connect to ground = Full.
If the gauge does not do this you have a bad gauge
It's always easier to validate the gauge first then to pull the sender.

Step by step determination of what type you may have:

Use these for $12 and you can test justabout any gauge.

To be clear, what 57 said and the sender terminal to ground should read full on the gauge, removed shold read empty.
