Has anyone tried to place a low pressure fuel gauge inline in front of the carb inlet?
I have a fluid dampened 1/8 npt gauge on hand. And I’m trying to work out if I can fit it inline with the factory fuel line assembly from the low pressure pump without mutilating the assembly or if I need to have fuel line custom made / make one?
Fuel gauge fittings are plenty and readily available. Question is whether to go directly into the cap where the brass threaded plug holds the flared pipe or something else. A hose loop might buy me enough room to fit the gauge (since the hard pipe bend limits working space). So, I’d need to go from brass threaded fitting on the end of the line to barb.
Yes, I’m aware this introduces a point of failure etc. However, knowing what shape this pressure is in without taking the assembly apart is a benefit as well.
Thanks,
Christian
