fuel gage help

Hi my fuel gage read's full all the time, can someone give some advice on how to fix it thanks.

It's an '09? Still under warranty? Take it to a dealer.

I take it from your signature, you have a brand new boat. If so, your dealer should fix it under warranty.

If you do bring it back to the dealer, let me know what they say. I have posted the same issue, but have had no luck in getting any feedback.

Taking it in is a good idea, but I thought if there was a simple fix. I would rather fix it at home to spare the trouble of making appointment and drive two hours to the dealership.I will make sure to reply when do get it fixed thanks.

You may be able to get it covered under warranty at a local Merc-certified dealer - maybe someone that's closer? I'm not positive since it's the gauges. It'd be worth a call - evena "mom-n-pop" type place - as long as they are merc-certified.

Check the connections on the sending unit.

disconnect one wire from fuel sender
if gauge goes to empty - most likely your fuel sender is shorted or stocked on up position - replace sender (only 5 screws)
