I just purchase a 1994 30ft Searay Weekender powered with gas twin 5.7 inboard v drives.
Can anyone give me first hand knowledge of what I should get in fuel consumption per hr cruising would be, and what range with 200gals of fuel.
I do understand that there are many variables to consider...
Thanks in advance for any input...Lugger144:smt024

Hey Lugger144,

Congrads and welcome to the board.

At cruise speed ~ 24-26MPH @ 3650-3750RPMs I burn about .75-.8 GPM which is about 25-26GPH. At the begining of the season I see .9GPM, but then it gets more to .8 and .7 depending on various conditions. My bottom is always clean.

According to boattest.com the range is 170 miles for my boat. IMO, it's close enough to realistic number.

But doesnt the 330 have a wider beam than the 300?And more weight?Seems to me it would get a little less efficiency than a narrower beam with less weight.lugger144 how much does your boar weigh ,and what is the feul capacity.mine is older but same engines and drives ,only carries 136 gallons of useable fuel.

I really have no hard data to share with you since I do not have a fuel monitor, but I would comment that your fuel data and rpm are probably going to be very different than Alex's boat, very different hull and carb'd motors.
