FT Lauderdale Boat Show

I'm getting excited. This will be my first boat show in FL. (I live in Iowa). I will probably be there either Thursday or Friday. Any advice anyone can give. (I'm really a newbee to all this). I would love the opportunity to meet some of you.

Thanks,
Mike

Wear comfortable shoes that easily slip on/off. You will do a lot of walking and most boats require you to remove shoes before boarding.

Also, use this as a chance to check out different manufacturers. There are some great brands (in addition to SeaRay) and this is one of the best opportunities to see them all in one place. Also spend sometime in the electronics tent. You can play with all of the toys and ask lots of questions.

Recon mission today....miles of docks going in, tents going up, regular boats departing making room for the show boats coming in!
The fuse is lit...start the count down.

New 53' arrived.

Gota love it.

What do you guys think of doing a CSR group photo on the 650 or 590 ?......agree to the best time and day and we will make it happen.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it to the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show !!!!

It will be great to finally meet. I'll be at the show Thursday and Friday.

I vote for the 650.

I've never been to any of the major boat shows. I've always thought that the crowds and lines to see boats must be horrendous and that would kill the fun for me. Is this the case at FLIBS?

I went yesterday which is a "vip" day. Cost $40 to get in instead of $20. Lines were not bad at all. I never waited to see any boat. I heard from several people that this afternoon and Saturday are crazy busy.
The new Searays are really nice. Saw the new 40' fly. Really nice boat. They did a good job with it.

All the L class boats are beautiful of course

Nice work Searay. It is a very cool place to see lots of boats.
I want to go back today but can't talk my wife into it. We were there from 9:30am to 7:30pm yesterday She said she had seen enough boats. I just don't get it.

It only makes sense to me when I think how I'd react if my wife wanted us to spend a second 10 hour day looking at the new fall fashions. YIKES!! :smt101

Funny, that is exactly what she said to me yesterday.

So sad, we can't make it -:( I would be there looking around everyday if I could. I can't get enough of boats:) I even forgo having new diamonds as gifts for boat "stuff" instead.

Had a great time looking at the boats on Thursday! The new 400 is simply an amazing boat and design!

Look at this lineup!

I saw your last night, but I didn't want to interrupt the conversation you were having. I spent some time talking with Matt and a few other SR folks.

SR did an amazing job with the new 400 and 400Fly. This boat feels so much bigger than a 40'. The salon and aft cockpit feel bigger than the 470! I think this boat will be a winner and I can't wait to get behind the wheel and see if this will be my next boat.

Rusty.
It was great to finally meet you! Thank you for the tour of the stunning 650 fly. We didn't get the picture in but hopefully next time. Safe travels on your next adventure!
