Just picked up an 07 sport with the 3.0, went to change the fuel filter, took about 6 hrs. why don't the idiots just put it on the fuel line. and forget about mounting it on the bottom of the fuel pump in the bilge? I had to take the engine compartments out to get down there and even then it was torture to get the filter and the spring and two gaskets on while lying in 9 inches of space while i tightened the wire clamp.
Has anyone put a filter on the fuel line and just left the paper filter out of the housing,:smt021 to bypass the brilliant engineering from mercury?
