I just contacted the captain at Black Point, unfortunately for your size boat, the waiting list is 4-5 years as there are no room for a 44 ft boat. If you want, try calling Haulover Beach Park, they are expanding the marina increasing the total number of wet slips but I do not know how many will be available. I imagine that the people who were on the waiting list will get the new wet slips.
I know that if you try Dinner key marina or somewhere in the grove, be prepared to pay alot more than county marinas because I just heard that the city took away marina discounts.
I just moved my 280 from Loggerhead in Hollywood down to Sea Isle Marina whom happens to have space now. I am so happy I did, price was the same but it saved me from that Intracoastal drive which would take 1.5 hours just to get to Haulover due to the no wake zone which is basically al the way down..They have a website www.seaislemarina.com;i t is behind the Marriott and the Herald in downtown Miami.Good Luck, dockmaster Will is a very nice guy.
I tried everything to try to get dockspace @ Bayside,Dinner Key, Miami Beach Marina....fugheddaboudit
