Went to the Orthopedic Doctor on the 19th and found out I have a frozen shoulder caused by bursitis in my rotor cuff I had earlier this summer. So its physical therapy and a pulley and rope hooked to the top of a door for the next 6 weeks. I guess that's what I get for not going to the doctor sooner. It sucks putting on a winter coat I look like a child tiring to put my coat on and off. The pain pills make me feel like jello and I forget to swallow so I end up drooling on myself .After therapy yesterday and one pain pill I caught myself staring at the floor for about 15 minutes boy how times flies when your loopy.

Lucky you're not a horse, they'd just lead you over to the glue factory and end your pain once and for all.

I hate it when I break down. If I don't go to the doctor right away, I should have. And if I do go right away I'm told it's nothing to see a doctor about. Go figure eh. Hang in there, do your exercises, and enjoy the pain meds. At least you HAVE an excuse for drooling. Good luck.

Yup I'm there too... Never had knee issues til ole bursitis hit it this summer. Steroid pack to take the edge off and now a couple minutes of exercises (stretching) every morning keeps it pretty well in check now. It was very annoying to struggle getting in and out of the engine room. Best of luck to you.

A dozen knee operations over the years, a couple of falls to tear my ACL in between a couple, kneecap gone over 30 years ago...add in a couple of concussions and I've been through the ringer!

But I feel great! I go to "Stiff Guys Yoga" once a week and a stretch class another. Keep the walking up and I'm good! Of course liberal amounts of red wine help when I'm not up to snuff... ;)

Yep, L5 disc lamenectomy about 18 years ago. Then C5-C6 in the neck I pushed through from about 2003 -9 then had a scrape and clean. Left with little upper body stamina.

And now my knees sound like.......t!

During those major pain periods I was on Endone. What a drug, hate it with a passion. It had the ability of making our wooden floor I was sleeping on feel like a feather mattress, and I swear, I used to float up out of my body, roll over towards the ceiling and stare back down at my body.

Hang in

Get off the pain killers as quick as you can. Sounds like you might be on the more addictive types.

I have had four shoulder surgeries. The last on on 11/21/14. Total replacement and the reverse shoulder and so far I feel pretty good. Haven't had one pain med but have taken the Aleve.
So for you. There is a process called PRP, Platelet Replacement Plasma. I was not a canidate thanks to the other three surgeries. Ask your doc and do some research. Also Stem cell. They pull fat out of your body and do something to it and inject it back with great results. So before you need the surgery for fixing or replacing read about both of these.
Good luck.
