Anyone have any experience with front and/or side canvas for a late model Sundecks? I have a '12 260 SD. I'm interested in your comments about how effective it is in blocking rain or wind. How difficult it is to set up and take down. Photos would be fantastic! I've contact SeaRay and they have no photos in their library, my dealer doesn't have anything to look at either.
I'm thinking it would be nice to have this option in Jan/Feb down here and if easy to put up, taking along if rain arrives when out on the water and an hour or so away from home. Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

Lidokey, if SR doesn't have any photos of it, are you sure they even offer it?

I'd recommend finding a good custom canvas shop in your area. They will do a good job for you, design it the way you want and fit it exactly to your boat.

FYI, they're all a bit of a PITA to put up and take down but if you want your canvas to be tight and not flap in the wind when you're on plane, it's just something you have to put up with. By way of a suggestion on the design, before you lock yourself in on what you want it to be, discuss this at length with whoever is going to build it. That way you'll have it just the way you want. A good canvas maker will be able to suggest things that you might not have thought of. I'm talking about things like placement of the support poles, height, length, etc.

Front and side canvas is available as an option so I know they offer it. Good suggestion about using a canvas shop and getting their suggestions. My dealer maintains their own shop and of course there are a variety of independent guys out there. I was hoping to get an idea of how it looks on my model or one a couple of feet longer or shorter. You're probably right about it being a PITA, though. What isn't?
