Just got done replacing my cabin fridge and wanted to share some things that I learned along the way. I am always looking at this site for help and figured I could finally help someone else out. I replaced the Never Cold DE 461 with the Vitrifrigo 2600 stainless Great Water in MA had a good price and customer service was awesome. I looked into the direct nor cold replacement the DE 0061 and after reading the reviews opted for the Vitrifrigo. Im not so sure that the DE 0061 would even fit through my door based on dimensions along with figuring out what to do with a condensate line that the never cold has. So I removed the cabin sliding doors which went much easier than I thought, remove the screws at bottom of the sliding door, remove access panel on dash then 4 screws on the top, door comes out in 2 pieces. The piece the door sits on to move in track stays in track just need to line them back up when putting door back and screw in. Taped and wrapped entire doorway to prevent scratches and removed grab handle on stairway. To get old fridge out needed to remove flange, it is screwed and glued on so not easy. Took removable flange and doors off new fridge and easily fit through doorway. The new fridge is deeper so you need to build a frame to cover the gap. The closest I could push the fridge in left me a 2/14 inch gap so I called it 2 1/2 for airflow and saving hassle of ripping down the board, bought some 1x3 pvc board spray painted it gloss black made a frame 4 screws on top board to connect them. I took the scrap 1x3 screwed them to the floor to raise the fridge up so the screws would hit top cabinet. Lift fridge in opening Secure the wood frame with 3/4 inch ss screws. I used 4 3 inch ss screws 1 0n each side and 2 on top to secure to cabinet. All said and done took me about 4.5 hours to do the job.Very happy so far with the fridge super quiet and much more space.

Dino, Any photos? did you have a problem with the depth of new fridge not being able to be pushed in flush?

I can take some photos this weekend. The closest I could push the fridge in was leaving me with a gap of about 2 1/4 inch I used the 1x3 pvc trim board that measures 2 1/2 inches so went with that measurment. It gives it some more airflow and with the painted pvc board it looks like it was supposed to stick out. After I wrote above I ended up using all 3 inch screws all the way around fridge for added security. The fridge so far is awesome. I am so glad that I made the choice to go with this rather than the nor cold Looking back the job was not as bad as I thought it would be, I think it would have been much tougher going with the nor cold replacement

5 years later, how’s the fridge doing?

Dis you have to relocate the compressor on the new one?

In the 410 thread, @eqippro just installed a new Isotherm, and I just order the smaller one to replace the old Norcold in the cockpit. His pics are on Pg 212.

We were discussing a thread to discuss their performance.
