Fridge from hell 268 DA

Hello,

Looking for recommendations on replacing my Fridge....Norcold TEKII DE251.
This thing cycles when it wants to AC or DC.
Davy Jones can have it......to keep his beer cold.

my norcold decided to run even when the switch was turned off. Cleaned the switch and temperature control and every thing was back to normal.

Ya, I've got the same thing....Cycles quite a bit, and makes everything in the galley rattle....I've been looking at Isotherms, just haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.

Vitrifrigo makes a nice fridge. Quiet with the danfoss compressor. I can barely hear mine running. No rattles.

Direct replacement is NR751BB if you want to go that route. We did it two seasons ago so I can't speak to longevity or anything else, but it seems to sip power when on DC. We like the blue LED interior light--not so harsh if you open it in the middle of the night.

You may have to order the cord separately--it wasn't apparent when I first read the specs so I think I had to add it on later.

This fridge fits right in the slot (well, I actually had to slightly modify the original opening):

NORCOLD NR0751BB AC/DC BUILT IN REFRIGERATOR

I realize it's still a Norcold, however, this new version is much quieter, draws less energy, has a cool LED light inside and seems to keep things nice and cool.

It is heavier so you will need to balance the boat out by keeping water in the fresh water tank.

I've had this new fridge for 2 full seasons now and have had no issues.
