fresh water pump

I just replaced my fresh water pump again after only 3 years. Does anyone know the life aver a general of these pumps.? I use it in the fall to drain my lines by opening the taps but make sure it doesn't run without to little water. Any thoughts?

Dunno. We've never had to replace one. What part of Canada? I've noticed some of the water supplies in the interior of B.C. have a lot of minerals that tend to build up in the fixtures such as shower heads. If your water supply is anything like ours you may want to consider using a filter in the line before the water pump.

What make of pump is it? Just curious.

I've seen these water pumps last many many years.

On the other hand.......last year when I changed mine.......believe it or not I got 2 bad Jabsco pumps I believe they were right off the shelf out of West Marine.

So I changed to a different brand...can't remember which right off hand......and it's been fine since. We'll see how long it lasts.

So.....bottom line.......some may last almost forever.....others may not it seems.
