are you sure it is the water pump? the head might be cycling over and over due to the system not holding pressure.

Most pumps have an adjustment screw on the pump pressure switch ( the part of the pump the two hot wires are attached to)...see if you can adjust. Maybe the pressure switch is bad. I just had a pressure switch go bad on a one year old pump. If this fails, as previously stated, you probably have a leak somewhere in the system.

it sounds like the fresh water pump and i dont hear any sucking sounds coming from the seal of the head. but when i go down tomorrow i will double check thanks

I had this and it turned out there was a drip in the fresh water system itself that periodically made the pump "reprime" itself. Check your bilge (and in my instance your carpets throughout) to make sure this is not the case. Mine was a crack in my master shower water connection that driped all the way to the stern and caused my aft cabin carpet to become soaked. Good luck.

Two more culprits. Fresh Water Wash down, if you have one could be in a locker hidden. And the transom shower mixer/value. Does sound like you have a leak somewhere and with that time frame you should be able to spot it quickly.

Listen for the hissing in the bilge as it's most likely coming out that quick!!!

Best of Luck! Take Care!

check your fw strainer, mayber it is either clogged, or not in tight

thanks everybody, i just got home from the boat and it has seemed to have stopped. thanks for the feedback
