Fresh Water Pump Runs Every Couple Minutes?

I would look at the manifold in the bilge first and then the fittings under the different fixtures. Also would inspect the hot water heater for leaks. The diaphragm in the water pump could have crud in it or is bad which could be allowing it to not hold pressure.

Other than the prior advice, check the transom shower. I have seen a couple cracked and leaking after the cold winter we had. At least around here cruisers don't always winterize and the transom locker does not get any heat from the bilge heaters.

Check the accumulator to see if it is leaking air.

My first step is to ensure that there's plenty of water in the tank. I've had my share of leaks, an open anchor washdown spigot, leaking icemaker fitting, loose plumbing fitting, dripping shower etc. 90% of the time however, I've introduced air into the system with an empty tank. After filling the tank, air pockets in the lines cause the pump to cycle. I just run each tap until the lines are purged.

+1 on trapped air in the system. A couple weeks ago I ran the tank very low, hooked up the city water over night and then topped up the tank in the morning. When I hooked up the city water I did not purge the air out of the hose and some air got trapped in the lines. When I went back to the on board water supply the pump was cycling every few minutes. After purging ALL the valves for a while the problem went away.

You can normally tell when there is air in the lines because it takes longer than normal for the pump to stop after you close off the spigot.

Always the first place to check is a leaking toilet...

Open cold water taps until they sputter. Turn off. Add a bunch of red food coloring to two gallons of clean water and pour into the fresh water tank. Turn on. Look for red water in odd places. That is where the leaks are. Fix and flush the tank and refill it. If there are no leaks revealed, look at the hot water heater.

If you have a vacuflush toilet, check the duck bill valves in the vaccum generator pump, rebuild kit about $30 for two of the four valves needed. Sounds odd, but it was my problem that cleared up the constant cycling of the water pump instantly.. Good luck

Had the same issue
had a very small leak on the intake side of the pump sucking air...real bugger to find

i had a slow leak for over a year. looked high and low to find it, and couldn't find it anywhere. tried new pump etc, same issue, so i gave up on it. and one day i was in the bilge and i see an occasional drop down the back near the transom... right near the rear shower. So i look at the shower, no issues from the outside. I unscrewed the fitting, and it was the hose where it screws onto the fitting in the back of the shower panel... that was such a satisfying find :) So thats worth checking, because you often wont see the back of the shower panel, so remove it and check the hoses that attach to the rear of it.

If the pump pressurizes, but cycles, it sounds like a leaking item somewhere. I found that the windshield washer solenoid was not closing all the way and a small leak was coming out of the sprayer for the windshield. I took the solenoid off, rinsed it with some CLR and its back in action. If it looses pressure with no leaking items it could be the small clear plastic filter housing on the pump itself. That's a $12 part and screws off/on. Known to develop a small hairline crack and looses pressure quickly after the pump may be turned off.
