Hello everyone, I have a 98 330 sundancer with twin 7.4s. My fresh water pump is a shurflo 2.8gpm. We just launched for the season and noticed the pump doesn't pump very much and will not make shut off most of the time. The filter is clean and when i watch it, the water will not fill up the clear filter! Any Ideas?? I'm hoping there is not a leak in the line but there is no evidence of water leaking anywhere. Any help would be great!! I realize they are about 100 to 150$ but if i dont need to spend on it i can put it into fuel costs :smt043, If i do need to buy a new one would you suggest the shur flo or jabscoe. again thanks for everyones time!!!!

Had a similar issue last season. Turned out I let the marina fix it once I tried. Same symptom clear filter did not full up. They claimed to have replaced the pump but instead they replaced the pump head and not the motor as the motor was fine. I believe you can get a rebuild kit for the pump I googled it online and found some. As I remember mine is mounted forward of the Starboard engine under the battery box. I did not and still don't like getting to it. I am sure they put that pump there with the engine and transmission out of the boat.

Hi Algeria, thanks alot for the info. I also feel your pain about getting to the darn thing as it is not very well placed. I think what i will do is just bite the bullet and buy a new pump and then rebuild the old one for a spare. We love our boat aside from a few issues. Thanks again and hope to stay in touch with you.:smt024
