First season on our new to us 2001 400DB and still working out a few issues.

One issue that has been difficult to get my head around is the fresh water pressure in the boat from the City Water hookup. We have good water pressure at the dock pedestal, so that's not the issue.

When you turn on the the sink or shower, mainly the shower (new shower heads installed) the water pressure is okay, but as you take a 10 minute shower, the water pressure get lower and lower. The water temperature doesn't change, but the pressure gets lower. I'm not sure if its a HWH issue or some other restriction. The filter screen is clean.

We never had this issue in my previous boats and my old Carver had water pressure as good as or better water pressure than my home. Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks!

It could be the pressure regulator (inlet for the FW hose) getting weak. Do you have the same symptoms when running any other high volume faucet for that period of time?
I have had issues with one before - good pressure on the dock, poor pressure on the boat - $50 fix solved it.

Just replaced my pressure reducing valve too...installed a 65 psi unit and have great pressure and flow.

If the valve goes bad, is it possible to have no city pressure in boat. We never use city water but one day tried and non at all. Great pressure on dock, non in boat

I replaced the original 35 psi inline pressure regulator with a 45 psi unit and everything is good now. The regulator that I put in was the Jabsco 44411-0045.
Good luck

Call me crazy but I had the same thing happen to me. slow-or no water pressure. The hose from the dock to the boat was bad. It was collapsing .

If it happens in the faucets too, then the first place to look is at the inlet.
I can't remember the last time I used my inlet.
Using the tank instead, and topping it off when needed, throughout the season is easier, and keeps the water from sitting in the tank too long.

Most likely your dockside water pressure regulator went bad. They are about $50 and easy to replace. A new regulator should solve the problem
