Free Sea Ray Is It Worth It???

That boat looks to be the start of what became the lines of all the 90's boats. It doesn't resemble anything else from that era.
I believe someone on here has one with a big sig pic?
Looks like its all there. If ya have the time and patience go for it.

Boats are costly to run. Others have opinions on what it costs to run. Our 28 footer with a 10.5 foot beam used to cost us 2000 for moorage 3000 for yearly haul out and bottom and leg work and 2000 a year for things we wanted done or added plus fuel. It used to cost us a dollar a minute to run at 24 knots. We needed to replace the front deck as the balsa core was rotten that cost 12,000 not included in the above.
If you are to sell it as is probably best to leave it where it is.

It doesn't cost that much for marina fees here. I had my SA 270 moored at the marina for 120 a month everything included even wi-fi and it only cost 85 bucks to have it put in and out.

As for repairs and maintenance?

I may not have allot of posts here, but I am on other forums and I am very experienced in boat repair and maintenance. I have all of the specialized Mercruiser tools for out drive repair. I just cant pay some guy 100 bucks an hour to work on my stuff. Almost all of the mechanics I see lie to people telling them that marine repair is so technical and specialized that if they try to work on it themselves it will blow up in their face.
Im trying to share the knowledge I have learned by posting videos. Search my name on YouTube.

I am going to be getting the boat surveyed in 2 weeks. If the boat is soaked to the core I will be stripping it and parting it out...

As for the tarp.

The one I bought is a heck of allot better than the one that was on it. You can see whats left of the original. I'm just mainly concerned with keeping the top dry and having the water run off.

:smt021 Doh !!! your crazy taking apart that beauty . I may be parcial to it but we love ours they are great solid boats. You can't beat the space in the salon plus gen. only thing i see off the fly bridge is the windshield .From what it looks like inside and paperwork you have sounds like the owners took good care of her . I know 4 people at our marina who would jump at the chance to own her. Let your club members have a shot at it post it when you list it . Good luck

A note on the shipping - I just shipped a 40EC from Miami to Annapolis MD. Cost $3500.
That boat shouldn't be that much.
