Where are we headed fot the Fourth?

The admiral and I will be headed to Oak Bluffs on Wednesday we have a slip reserved until Sunday, can't wait. My son and girlfriend will meet us there and tie up in the slip beside us. Wednesday can't come soon enough. Any CSR members out there stop by and say hello, look for "Seanile II"

I'm headed to France for work and I couldn't be more pissed about it. I haven't missed a 4 th of July on the lake in over 20 years.
I hope everyone has a great time.

We will be on the water but up the river instead of on the gulf coast waters. Daughter cannot get away and only one day off so it is the waverunners for me But the 14th the Blue Angels in Pensacola beach.

My 4th is being spent in quarantine. I was diagnosed with Chicken Pox today. This frigging blows!

My wife said "he'd rather go on the boat than go to France?" She just dos'nt get it!

We're on a 12 day summer vacation on the Bay, Currently sitting in the River Marsh Marina at the Cambridge Hyatt for three days then headed today to St Michaels for Sunday and Monday nights then off to Baltimore Inner Harbor Marina Tue-Thurday for the Forth. Last year it was in the DC Harbor, This year in the Baltimore Harbor and hopefully next year in the NY Harbor. Hope everyone has a safe 4th and entire boating season. Going to be a hot one out there today.

GimmeTime enjoy the harbor! We were down last two years and the fireworks were great! They shoot them off right in front of Dominos sugar. Loads of great food around the harbor. We only have Wed off so we are headed to Phila to see my nephew in the Phila parade. He is in the Air Force Honor Guard. Then headed back towards home to see some fireworks somewhere. Might try to run from Phila to B-More to see some. Have to see what the Fam wants. Or just stick close to home.

Southport NC. States official fireworks. Benn trying to go for years, always booked.

The admiral decided it will be the chaos that IS Monroe Reservoir in Indiana
Going down tomorrow nite and home on the fourth
I think I finally have all of JPs bugs worked out...at least for now

I'm at the airport waiting to board my flight. I've resigned to accept the fact that I'll be traveling. But, I'll be back on the boat by the 6th!

Unfortunately, I'll be heading to work on the 4th... I will get to see the fireworks though, so I guess that's some consolation. Be safe, all.

We're on the boat in Portland, OR, ~250 miles from home, and we're here for a week to catch the Blues Festival that starts tomorrow. We have a great spot at Riverplace Marina to listen to the music, backstage passes for the entire festival, and a front row seat for the fireworks. They'll shoot off the fireworks over the river directly in front of where we're moored.

Blues Patron The Blues Patron Pass is the ONLY pass that gives you unlimited sponsor pavilion access and VIP on-stage seating at the festival's main stages. You'll receive:

  • Five-day early entry to the festival (30 minutes before general admission) with an official festival credential
  • First priority for re-admission when gates are closed
  • VIP access to on-stage seating at the Miller and Credit Union stages
  • Unlimited access to sponsor hospitality pavilion, featuring complimentary catered buffets, shaded tables and VIP restrooms
  • Free daily vehicle parking at Smart Park, one block west of the festival (two per pair)
  • Invitation to Fourth of July barbecue with river's-edge viewing of the festival's spectacular fireworks display
  • Free admission to After Hours All-Stars Concerts at the Marriott Hotel Ballroom on a first-come, first-served basis. The concerts are popular and space is limited. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to ensure entry.
  • Special festival patron T-shirt
  • Limited-edition, archivally-printed festival poster, signed by artist Gary Houston
  • 50 percent off massage coupon
  • Recognition on Waterfront Blues Festival website
  • As a Blues Patron, $780 of your contribution ($1,310 per pair) is considered a tax-deductible donation to Oregon Food Bank.

Steve Miller Band is the headliner and there are probably 75 bands/groups lined up for the 5-day festival. Here's a linky to the festival schedule:

Can a July 4th celebration get any better?

We are staying a bit farther from the action this year (see link below) but will be just on the other side of the island for a couple of days then to another nice anchorage through Sunday. 5 days & nights and can't wait to head out! That's me in the Seadoo Speedster with the yellow bimini early in the video.

Admiral and the "wiper" (her sister) on the boat now. I'm going down tomorrow. Not taking it out to watch fireworks. Did that last year on the lake in a rental. Too many stupid drunk no nav lights morons out there. It's bad enough on non holidays. My nerves were shot. I was the DD.
