There are still 4 switches on my control panels that I'm not sure what they are for.

1. Forward Accessory
2. Aft Accessory
3. Accessory #1
4. Accessory #2

Can anyone please tell me what these are used for and where i can tie into these switches?

I'm about to install a remote spotlight and underwater lighting. I'm HOPING I can use Forward / Aft Accessory. Can anyone confirm and also guide me where i may be able to find the wires to tie in to?

Also, Accessory #1 / #2. Same question. I assume it's for options sea ray owners want to add but is it just a switch and ties to the panel?

Sorry new to boating and not very savey when it comes to this type of stuff.

Thanks in advance.

Those switches have no assigned task. They are built into the Sea Ray harness and dash for future owner specified uses. The circuits will have breakers built into them. All you have to do is find the corresponding wire, run that to the plus side of your new gizmo and then ground the gizmo. The switch will then start and stop the gizmo. Because they already have the breaker built into the circuit, the new accessory that you add will have to have an amp draw lower than the breaker.

You wiring diagram contained in the owner's manual should give you a good indication of where the wire will be.

Thanks Henry. That was the answer I was hoping for. Is that the same for all 4 accessory switches or just the forward and aft switches?

I have looked in the Owners Man 10X times, still can't seem to find it though??? Do you happend to know the section or page it might be on??

Thanks again Henry.

There are 4 switches on my dash which were not used. The Aft Accy is a 15 amp breaker and the hot wire dead ended in the bilge forward of my starboard engine in that big, bulky bundle of wires. That is where the stern lights come wired on some models. That's what I used it for. The one which is on the far starboard side, 2nd from the top dead ended inside my helm next to the electrical control box (whatever that's called). I use it to power the light on the remote stereo control panel (instead of turning on Nav lights).

The bottom right one also dead ended in the ER with the Aft Accy wire. I ran it to my cockpit TV on the bar. Need something else in the cockpit - I have one more switch on the helm to use.

Great. Thanks John.

So it sounds like I should be able to tie into the Aft accy for my under water lighting under my swim platform. Seems like that woud be my best option??

I wonder when you order the remote spot standard from the factory, where does SR tie into in the forward berth? Somewhere up in the anchor locker I assume? Based on your description I would need to run power from the bow back to the helm to tie into Accy #2? I'm not sure where the Forward Accy is dead ended?

Another thoguht would be do I even want my remote spot light on the Forward or Accy #2 panel switch? I bought a remote spot that has 2 controls. One wireless dash mounted control and another "true" handheld wireless remote. Then I would have two "switches" to turn on just to turn the spot light on? (see told you I'm NFG at this elec stuff).

Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for the help.

There is no need to use one of these switches to power a remote spotlight that is installed like OEM. The remote spot lights come with their own switch and breaker module that contains the on/off switches for the spot/flood setting and the joystick to control the motion of the spot.

The wiring that remains is just power and ground running from the ER to the anchor locker and a harness running from the anchor locker to the helm. The wiring harness would be compatible with whatever brand/model that Sea Ray was installing the year your boat was built. Your boat should be pre-wired.

One of those powers our factory installed underwater swim platform lights, but cannot remember if it the aft one or one of the two accessory ones. As you can tell, I do not use them that often.

Some good info here and I previously did find the AFT ACCY pigtail to tie into - just where you described it to be. However, there was no mention in this thread (or anywhere in the forum) that I could find the location of the FWD ACCY. The manual just states it is RED/VIO and labeled 535. You would think the manual would give you the location of all the "terminate and coil" locations would be. They tell you the location of horn, lights, etc. which are obvious but it would be more important to know where these wires terminate that are designed to be used for future accessories. It would be great if someone would post where all four of these unused wires terminate. They are fused and designed to be used, but this huge lacking in the manual perhaps it could be posted somewhere in this forum.

Ok I'll repeat.

Locate appropriate EIM,

Identify pin out location of the wire you want on the EIM distribution plug from your wiring diagram,

Locate pin out location on plug. It's the big plug stuck in the end of the EIM. Surprise, the wire will be there. You can tell by the color. The number may, or may not, be imprinted on the insulation.

Peel back outer cable protector and follow wire to find termination 18" to 36" from plug.

It's the same for all of the "unused" wires. Keep in mind electronics are often dealer installed and what the factory.
