My first crossing and this seems to be the most puzzling piece of my trip, that is coming up in a couple of weeks. I thought I had this worked out and the storage yard has now nearly trippled their original quote.

Where can I park my truck and trailer, for a couple of weeks, while crossing over to the Abacos?

It seems that the county ramps have a 24 hour limit. There is Lake Park Marina, but Gee Whiz, they want $25/day parking, $10 launch. That really adds up on a two week trip. It seemed to be a huge inconvenience to them, when I mentioned that i was launching on Memorial Day weekend, too. I hope to depart Lake Worth Inlet but will consider others.

Where does everyone else park?

HELP!

I had to use Lake Park's lot last April as that was all I could find. Lot was tight with my F-350 and trailer for the 260.

leave from Ft Pierce - I bet there are plenty of yards there that will splash your boat and let you park for a modest fee....True, you'll have to buck the stream just a bit but its not like your in a sailboat.

Yeah, not worried about a few extra boat miles. I prefer boat miles over truck miles anyway. I'd really like to depart LWI, though. If nobody responds with good local knowledge around LWI, I'll start searching further north.

Thanks Guys!

I bite the bullet and use LPM also.

Although, my cousin is looking into a storage lot, and then cab ride it back to the boats. We'll see what comes up. We have a barganing chip though, because we park 4-6 trucks and trailers at a time. The flip side is, room to park 4-6 trucks and trailers! lol

Good luck on your trip, and remember to slow down and have fun.
