for those that anchor at the beach

Just do the redneck gig and put a picnic table out there.

I know what I'm gonna build now. Great idea! Wonder what the auger but is from? Fiberglass top?

We anchor at a sand bar almost every weekend. This would really come in handy!

It won't be long and you all will be getting pontoons:smt043. So there you guys are, bellied up to the table/bar...hey, the water just got warmer.

We use floating coolers/tables at our sandbar, easier to deal with.

These look like a good idea, wonder whats under water and how cheap it would be to make one.http://saginaw.craigslist.org/boa/4438702348.html

It looks like one of these on steroids.

I have to agree with Havana Shamrock about the DeWalt. Drill it and stick it in the mud. Once the auger attached to the umbrella is in the mud and wiggling around a bit it's going to be a ***** to overcome the suction. The one I used in beach sand had a breaker bar with it.

We have a 7 -10m tidal range. Life could get real interesting real quick with one of those. Talking of which last weekend I was nearly caught out. Anchored in 3m and had lunch, only just got off at 0.4m after nodding off. That'll teach me.

I agree scott, but if i had a smaller lighter boat at the beach say 20' or less it would be nice on a steamy day so i wouldnt have to get on the boat to have a sip of root beer.I started this post for others that have smaller boats ,but the table alone might be cool without useing it as an anchor.
