Ohh come on now. 50+ week lead times have been going on for more than a year now. If steel is just now being impacted consider yourself lucky! You should try buying anything Texas Instruments or Intel. You'll start to love your steel guy a whole lot more.

And baby formula...pfft...don't you remember when we couldn't buy shit tickets back in 2020?

:)

Some steel like bar joists are 10+ months out. Some OEM equipment suppliers for food/beverage manufacturing equipment are at 75-85 weeks. A standard fork lift was quoted at 75 weeks. Insane supply chain impacts.

Yep. Steel is a problem.

What kind of formula? Will keep an eye out. We did the same things when TP was in short supply. Whoever found it, bot it and then gave to who needed it.

The local deli I go to by the shop is building a new store next door. Talking to the owner he said he might be opening mid summer…. But he is missing so many things from light fixtures to ovens that he might have to run between stores…. Just crazy

It's so bad that our state does not have stickers for my boat registration. Now I'm at risk of being pulled over due to my stickers being out of date and have to show the registration to show it's current.

Biden is not our president but same thing here.
$2.25/lt mid grade gas here.
Thats $9.00/gal.
I hear probably the same in Europe.
I can remember the first time I paid $1.00/liter in Canada and I lost my mind….you guys suck at natural resources

I work at a steel mill in purchasing. We are at full capacity and have been for well over a year because manufacturing and construction are so busy. We are current on our rolling schedule for production but it goes out the door and on the trucks and rail still hot from melting/rolling because the customers need it quickly.
Steel buildings and joists have a long lead time for the same reasons.

Okay that’s interesting…. You say you are at full capacity but on schedule but steel buildings and hoists have long lead times ?….. so what is causing the delays?

Lots of demand creates backlog. Those two products are mostly manually assembled so you can only produce them so quickly.

I don’t know if we “suck at natural resources” or not but just taxed to death.
I also believe the oil companies along with other big corporations rule the world.
Shell just posted record profits!
Same in both countries, not just Canada

Better healthcare then what you people have!
But lets not get into that.
We have a winter home in Florida so we have the best of both except we don’t have a boat in Florida.
Too windy in the winter to get much use of it!
Both countries are great.

Okay…. You get a pass because I am tired….. you still have to get your head around $2.25 though. Better health care?….. so $3.25 and you could actually get fixed in a timely matter?
