not sure will check
hi everyone. just joined, glad to be a part of the group. I just took possession of a new 2010 205 sport. The fold down tower looked so simple to operate I didn't even think to remind the salesman to show me how to break it down. Well I couldn't figure it out -- it's aluminum and has the big, black knob handles in two places on each side. The marina was closed when I returned so I just left it up.

Anyone help? Something really simple, I'm sure

thanks!!

There are allen screws that need to be loosened at the pivot points.

I'm not sure if it is designed the same as mine, but the big knobs are the allen screws. You will remove the knob screws. This will allow the rear support leg to fold forward and the tower to lay back. Be sure to have somebody help or have a good grip, its heavier than it looks. I hope this helps.

On my 205 the tower actually folds forward to lay on the bow. You remove all of the black knobs and have to people walk it down to rest on towels or some other type of cushion.

Mine is an '08 so not sure if they changed it on the '10.

thanks all! whew. I never in a million figured I'd need to take OUT the black knobs for fear they'd drop in the river, so I couldn't figure it out. Bad design, I think but it's worked OK several times new.

It is a bit like raising the flag at Iwo Jima!! when you walk it up or down.

hey guys, I'm looking for any feedback or instructions on installing the xtreme factory tower on a 2008 205 sport. It looks like there are circular, rienforced areas just in front of the windshield for the front mounts and there appears to be room underneath the helm to reach the bolts. However, the side mounts don't look as easy.

Anyway, other than taping the fiberglass before drilling to prevent the spider effect... are there any other do's and dont's I need to be aware of?

I'm also installing the bimini from Great lakes boat top.

Thanks for the help
