FlyBridge removal

Ok, I was talking to an older gentleman last week about my SRV240 Flybridge and he was telling me the some people remove thier flybridge and put a "cap" over where the flybridge is to make the boat more stable......has anyone done this type of modification?

I don't know that I am 100% going to try this but I do like the idea of having a more stable boat (and a little lighter)
