Flushing AC

Reading another thread here got me wondering about flushing the ac lines/pump. Is there a sop to do this? One guy runs shore water backwards thru system with strainer open. My boat is on a trailer right now so that might make it easier.

We take the hoses loose at the pump and blow out. Then the same back through the thru hull. We do this using dock water and different fittings for the hoses.

I was thinking this is more of an issue with salt boats than fresh water boats, are you seeing a decrease in water flow?

Not really. Just wondered if it was recommended on a regular basis and how to do it
