The admiral and I are going to be taking a trip to Florida next month. We are driving down and pulling our camper. We will be staying at Tamoka State Park for 7 of the days and also staying in Dunedin(spelling??) for 1 1/2 days. just wondering about any relaxing places to go, either to eat or just walk around or to just sit and have a cold one. I saw the thread about Frenchies and have been to one of them 5 years ago. Brew pubs are a plus, gotta have good beer(besides the stuff I bring along. Thanks. Scott

downtown dunedin is a nice place to stroll. sea sea riders has really good seafood, and it's right near the water and the harbor. kelly's is eclectic, and has great breakfast food (best muffins and pancakes you can find). cafe alfresco is on the pinellas trail, and is really good.

if you are in dunedin, you can go out to honeymoon island and stroll around a bit. it's a really nice beach. if you want to kill alot of the day, take the ferry to caladesi island, one of the best beaches in the nation (accessible by boat only). clearwater beach is always a great walk. there is a place called red fish blue fish in ozona (right north of dunedin) that is relaxing too. if you have bikes, take the pinellas trail from dunedin north to palm harbor, and stop at strahan's for some of the best homemade ice cream and cake that you can find anywhere.

here's a link to a complete guide to the pinellas trail - over a 100,000 people a month use this facility - one of the most succesful in the us.

it seems there is a new brew pub down there somewhere, but i can't remember where. i'll have to think on that one some.

feel free to pm me if there is something specific you're looking for.
