Florida to Newport, RI

I replaced my bow thruster blade in Florida. It is not working. The motor is fine but the blade is not spiniing. I am going to see if I can have that loooked at here in Charleston. Since I am by myself for most of the trip, I like to know I have the thruster if needed.

There is a shear pin you have probably broke. You need a small contortionist to climb into your bilge to replace the pin. You may want to get some spare as well.
 
I left Myrtle beach at 830, out the little river inlet and headed for cape fear, then out masonboro inlet to Beaufort, then on to Oriental, NC. Weather permitting I will be in coinjock maybe even great bridge tomorrow. I think i did about 150 miles today.

I left Oriental, NC this morning. I had to wait for fuel to show up as they were out. Left at 930, ran up pamlico sound into albermarle sound. Went through coinjock around 230 and decided to keep going. I am tied to the dock in great bridge, VA.
Mike, where in VA are you? I will be hanging around for the weekend.

The boat is in Hampton VA, I'll be heading there tomorrow and resuming on SAT. Haven't decided if we are doing the bays or the outside yet. Looks like the wind will be shifting all kinds of directions over the weekend.
 
I went from great bridge, VA to Norfolk. I spent 4 days there waiting foe my son who flew in on Tuesday night. We left Wednesday morning for Annapolis. We left Annapolis this morning, went through the c@d canal then on to cape may. We leave in the morning for NYC, then to Newport on Saturday.
I have loved every minute of this trip, but it will be nice to be home!

Sweetness. Last SAT we ran from Hampton VA to Toms river NJ in one day. 220 miles. Started out nice, then we ran into heavy fog, winds on the nose and moving thundershowers that we managed to dodge. We headed out to about 15 miles offshore so we would minimize our chance of hitting something in the heavy fog. I have some maint to do in NJ this weekend and then make a run for CT next weekend. Maybe we'll see you along the way.
 
Nice run! Must have been close to your fuel reserves.
I am passing Tom's river as I type. Liberty landing tonight.... Newport tomorrow!
