Florida Keys - Boat Rentals??

Headed to the Keys with the family shortly. Can anyone recommend or provide comment on renting a boat for a few days while there. Is it worth it. Size/Type. We will be around Marathon Key...

Looked on line at a few places. The house we are renting is exposed on the Gulf side, it's not in a canal. So I question the idea of renting a boat. But it does have a new dock...

Any thoughts or insights appreciated.

I will say that my experience is limited to Key West, so not sure what is available in the Marathon area. That said, i found a few places that rent boats, but mostly for "day" use... i.e. not renting for days at a time.... out by 9 in by 5 type of thing. These were all mostly geared towards smaller center consoles for short fishing trips and such. Not sure what exactly your looking for, but if that type of use suits you I'm sure you'll be fine in Marathon.

Thanks! Yes a 20' center console is what I am thinking about renting. Just looking to do some reef fishing some short exploring around local to Marathon.

Since the house has a dock I was hoping to get a boat for a few days and tie it up at the house.
