Hey all.
I'm headed for Florida for business next week. I'll be in the Clearwater to Orlando for a few days then running up to ATL for another day or so.
I've never been down that way so I'm looking forward to maybe 1/2 a day to see what it's all about.

Enjoy it if you have time.

You need more than half a day to see that area, no matter what your interests are. Disney World alone is at least 2 weeks, I know, been going there for years. There is a lot to see and do in that area besides theme parks. I am about 3 1/2 hrs from the area myself near Savannah Ga. Hope you enjoy the visit to this side of the world. By the way, bring cool clothes, it is still hot and humid in Fl, also expect thunderstorms about 4:30 PM.

Try to end a day in Rusty's area. He almost lives on the beach and knows that area like the back of his hand. Where he works also happens to be the coolest place in the world for a visit as well.

I am less than one hour east of Orlando....wanna come see?

Rusty

I keep forgetting to text you Rusty...you left some stuff of yours on my boat! Guess we have a good "excuse" to come up again for those scallops. I'll be in touch soon. Todd, go see Rusty!!! You won't regret it.

Hey Todd,

What are your dates for Atlanta?

I kind of screwed up my planning. I should have flown out of ATL Friday. My return flight is out of Tampa. We're driving from there to ATL, 9/25 and staying through 9/26. I then need to get back to Tampa quickly Friday to fly back out.

Try to spend the night on Cocoa Beach.......not in one of the tour guide hotels out by the cruise shop docks. You won't find a much better place to watch the sun rise.....unless its a mile or so offshore in a boat.

I'll try, may not have that much time, but would love to visit Rusty.

Unfortunately, you don't have time to see much of anything, try and make it for longer or come back again. But do enjoy the short time you're here:)

If it was me coming to Orlando for half a day, I would stay in the Disney area, downtown Disney, International Drive area, City Walk. It is not worth the drive to Cocoa beach for a half day. It takes about 1hr to get there and if you don't know the area may even take longer. It depends on where you are staying of course, if you are near the airport, 30 minute drive. Near Disney a longer drive. Stay local to your area as there will be plenty to see and do and you won't be running all over the place. Cocoa Beach is nice, but it ain't that nice.

Well you live there so maybe it's a diminished response. I live in the most beautiful area when it's sunny, but that's only for 3 months tops. Anyway, I'd rather meet Rusty than get sand between my toes. That may not sound right, but it is what it is. His reputation here and among other sophisticated sites is exemplary and I'd be a fool to pass on the opportunity.

Hey Todd - I'll be at the Delta Training Center on the 26th from 0930 to 1800 or so. It's on the north side of the airport, so let me know where you will be in Atlanta that day. I'll try to meet you.

Sounds great Carter. Can you fly me back to Tampa :) ...
