I have a 2000 Sea Ray 310 Sundancer with dual Mercruisers and when at cruising speeds my Flo scan shows the portside engine using about 50% more fuel than the starboard engine. The RPM's and temperatures are the exact same but the fuel consumption difference on the flo scan is crazy. When I pulled the boat onto the sandbar last weekend I noticed there was a little slick in the water on the portside of the boat. I had the trans cooler replaced a month ago and am hoping the slick is just residuals and not fuel but not sure. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

i have the same problem, but have inboards, at idle or docking there is an oil slick behind the boat, I hear it could the engine oil cooler as well , check your dip stick to see if it is milky at all. If you had a bad trans cooler there might also be water in the trans I believe ,

Do you have dual tanks on that boat?

Oil slick aside, give the Floscan folks a call. They are very helpful. I had one that was reading 5-7 gallons higher than the other, but when I topped off the tanks, I did not have a difference. In my case, on diesels, the return flow sensor was not registering properly. Not sure how your gassers are set up.

Good luck.
