Flesh eating bacteria in the bay

Yikes, this is getting more and more prevalent. Couple of cases in our town about two weeks ago too. It's just awful, our daughter's friend from high school died from this about a year ago. He was a young, really fit personal trainer, just so sad. Do hope they find a cure for it soon.

That would keep me out of the water completely for sure!

thanks for making me paranoid this weekend... my son cut his knee in the water and I was freaking out a little on the inside while applying anti-bacterial cream and putting a water proof bandaid on his knee...

You're not alone! I scraped my knee on the swim ladder a couple of weeks ago while snorkling at Key West, and began to wonder.............

Yep, I know..... I took some spray over my kayak today and into my mouth and thought, "how to I disinfect that?".... I'm a goner....

Anytime you get a scrape you should disinfect. I keep hydrogen peroxide on the boat for such things.

I think if you clean it out you should be fine.
