Flat Screen conversion on 2000 40Sedan Bridge

Helping a friend work on swapping out the large Salon Cabinet that had held his TV. Got the cabinet down no problem. The headliner is all painted Black on the top which was "inside" his cabinet. Any one tackle this project on their 40SB? Love to learn from someone who has done this on this boat!

A friend of mine did the swap on his 40. What he did was remove the TV, put all the new surround sound system where the TV was. He mounted the TV with a piano hinge at the top of the existing cabinet. He was then able to lift the TV and operate the system. Looked great, like factory

When I found that the headliner was painted Black I decided to mount a flat screen on a piece of black starboard and hung it piano hinge) from the top of the front opening.....and gained a great liquor cabinet!
I do use a satellite dish system(brought in through the side vent into the back of the TV box - so - I do have to open the TV/door (swing it up) to access the box.
I'm on a road trip now down to Arizona Spring Training and will be home about mid-April and will send you photos if requested
