I'm wondering where I can put a small flag on this smaller boat?

Any suggestions?

I can't tell if you have a bimini or not, but if you do, mount your flag to the vertical bimini pole. That is what I did. I have the ensign on the starboard and a pirate flag on the port. No pole required. I did buy a dowel rod (my ensign was a sleeve type vice having grommets) to put through the flag for mounting and then zip tied it to the bimini pole. Quick and easy. I have since painted the dowel black to better blend in.

Here's a pic.

BTW, if you get a proper sized flag for your boat (I have a 210 Select), the flag will be too big for the stern light fixture mounted flagpoles. I had one. The drag and vibration from the flag (while cruising) caused the pole to wiggle loose and I lost the pole and flag. Luckily, it wasn't my stern light. I would stick with one that is securely mounted somewhere or use my method .

That's a good point. But, if the flag is only put about half to 2/3 the way up the light pole, it'll be fine. I've done it with the flag all the way up and it's been fine. But, then I thought it might not be a good idea to have it that far up, so I lowered it. A number of my customers (actually quite a few) do the same thing (1/2 to 2/3) and it's been OK. But again, good point - thanks for bringing it up.

I don't know what was going on with it. I wish the stern lights (at least the sleeve that slides in the mount to keep the pole in tight) screwed in vice just press fitting in. That would have been a better design IMO. After losing my pole and flag, I tried to figure a better way. If you do use the stern light fixture mounted flag pole, just check it often to see if it is loosening. Mine was fine at anchor, it only came loose once I was running.

I was wondering the same thing about flags on our light poll, just too much when under way.
On my 240SD I've got a center flag mount plus I use the two Bimini polls for misc fun flags. I think you can see the center flag mount in my photo album here.

I had the dealer install a mount on the transom just above the swim platform on ours. Not the least expensive way to go but it is a very sturdy pole & mount that doesn't interfere with anything. If I remember right it was around $180 or so for the flag, pole, mount & installation.

That sounds about right from last year when I was considering the dealer installed option. I chose against it due to the price.
