FL boaters

Hi
What is going rate per foot to have divers clean the bottom of your boats?

Scott

Scott,
We pay $1.50 ft. See your signature shows Windermere, where do you current keep your boat? We are over at Halifax Harbor in Daytona Beach. There is another guy (Tom) on here who keeps his there, think he uses somebody else that might be a little cheaper.

I have found that with services like divers, washing, etc., how you strike a deal makes a lot of difference in cost. Divers are small businesses and have cash flow problems in off-seasons. I pay for a year in advance, in cash, in January...........you wouldn't believe the cost if I told you, but it is a fraction of the costs quoted above.

I pay $1.00/ft. I have a 32' SeaRay, price is $32. He also checks the underwater gear and reports problems. Of course, he is not just a divers but he also washed, waxes and does standard ER checks if you want him to do that for you. Email me and I will get you the information for you. He just deoxidized/polished/waxed my boat, top to bottom, including the entire cockpit area for $13/ft. Again 32 x 13, $416 and it looks great. If I don't answer quickly I will get the info to you, going to the Abacos on Friday so will have limited time to answer emails....too much fun in the Bahamas.

wow, $1.00 is a great price.. Just had mine done for $1.50...

Have a great trip to the Abacos... I'll be heading to Bimini next Thursday with the Bahamas Fling and can't wait to get over there!

Thanks Barry, have a great trip. I am going to get down to S. FL one of these long weekends. They fixed the boat just in time for me to go to the Abacos so we jumped on this trip and will not be coming to S. FL in late June/July. But we do plan on making it down. Once we plan that I will let you know. Look for email from me as well. Safe travels.
