I had one of the stock switches that had no continuity. So I pulled it apart with a pair of needle nose pliers and cleaned it with a wire brush. Little dab of electrical grease and it it is as good as new. It went back together with the pliers. I hit the chrome parts on the buffer before installing. Now I will have to do them all because one is really shinny and the rest are not.
Thought you all might like to see the guts of a Searay vintage switch.
