Hi, next week we're heading to the Les Cheneaux area on Lake Huron for a yearly family re-union of sorts in Cedarville. I am wondering how the fishing is this year? Anyone from here in that area?

We have friends that have a cottage on Big LaSalle Island in front of Cedarville. They have been catching small mouth bass, perch and pike around the islands.
Salmon and trout can be found out in the open waters of Lake Huron in fair numbers right now out in 80-120 fow.

Thank you much! Kids always love to catch northern pike there. In all the years we've been going, we haven't spent a lot of time looking for small mouth and maybe this year we'll bring out bassin stuff. Last year, when we brought our 260, was the first year we ventured out into Huron proper. We actually went under the bridge and stopped at Mackinaw island for a bit. This year, we'll be renting a pontoon boat to play on. It's either that or a little aluminum with a 10 horse.. So we'll be sticking to the island channels. Thanks for the info!
