First week long cruise

Need some helpful hints, my wife and I are going on our first 10 day trip and I want to make sure we are prepared, any hints or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
do I need a water filter / pressure regulator for our fresh water? I have a 2004 sundancer 340

1. How far will you travel?
2. Are you on the hook or staying at marinas?
3. Make sure to map out your route before the trip
4. Create a float plan and leave with someone you know and the harbormaster so your location is known
5. Check for the best fuel prices along your route prior to embarking
6. Bring plenty of your beverage of choice since you can buy at Costco or somewhere ahead of time for much less money. Water can be had anywhere though.
7. I like to carry plenty of cleaning supplies, a water hose to fill the tank, a water filter to filter the water going into the tank, spare parts, tools, etc.
8. Have a great time and take pictures!
