I want to introduce myself and a little about me and my boat. My name is Wayne and I live in Panama City Fl. I bought my first boat and it is a 1974 Sea Ray 240 SD. I have been trying to buy this boat for 6 months and Sat. I brought it home. It has a 302 in it and I am not sure of the outdrive. I was told it may be a Alpha or a 225-s. ( I will ask in the proper forum) I already have done some work on it and plan to have it seaworthy in a month and a 1/2.

All the int. needs to be redone but all the wood trim it there. The Hull is in perfect shape with no spider web cracks in it. All the "hard parts" is there. Trim plates are there and working. Out-drive trim is not working, Motor burnt up. I have sat here on the :smt024 and did some research on it, But not much out there on a 1974.

I am glad I came across CSR and was surprised that there was so many owners all together in one place. I have read some in the forum and have been enlightened on some things. So much info to take in.

Oh my !!. Not another Wayne on here.
