Hello to all! This is my first time to post on this site and check in with everyone. I bought a 2000 Sundancer 290 last summer, but haven't used it yet. Needed some work that just didn't get done last year. Sure looking forward to this summer tho! 2 - 5.7L EFI's w/ Bravo III's.

Regards,

Jerry

Welcome Jerry
Make sure you put your boat's info in your signature. It helps everyone replying to your questions or comments know what you have.

Todd: Are you Norsk? I'm here in Gig Harbor, WA, work in Poulsbo (Little Norway) and grew up in North Seattle (Ballard) fishing capital of the northwest. Salmon and halibut, mostly, on Puget Sound or Bering Sea. Thanks for the reply and the tip.

What type of work did she need and did you get it done yet. If not don't feel so bad. Mine neede a whole engine and drive combo. Good news, found one complete, bad news is I can't seem to get all the funds and the trip to OH to get it. Needs other work as well since I basicly got a deal for a reason. Oh well, its just work...

Are you on land now or can you boat year round in WA. I get there fairly often (Seattle) Seems like decent and good weather, Crap in mountains though.

Same deal as you, basically...got a deal for a reason. Needs outdrive attention, shifter cables, tune ups, fresh water cooling, minor body work, cockpit carpets, camper canvas. Currently looking for the canvas and carpets. Weather here is gray all the time, but mild. Wet and 40 as opposed to violent weather patterns seemingly everywhere else. But gray for 4 straight months DOES get depressing!

Jerry:

Welcome to CSR! I think you just need to head over the mountains where the sun shines 300 days a year! That will cure the gray problem. Of course, it's a little colder over here but I can handle the cold better than the gray! Not a cloud in the sky today and about 40 degrees to boot! I went and played on the Valhalla for a while and can't wait until April when we can head to the lakes!

I can vouch for the gray...I was in eugine OR for 3 days. By day 3 I was looking for a tall branch and a short rope.
Now as far as your boat that seems like a lot of neglect for a boat only 9 years old. Either that or they used the crap out of it. Ive posted my story on this board herehttp://clubsearay.com/forum/showpost.php?p=171834&postcount=1

Long story short I got the boat off of a guy who got it from sombody that owed him money. The engine was shot and he removed the outdrive and left the engine in the boat. During this time he split with his wife and she "sold" the parts, but could not sell the boat. So I got a what was running boat for a song minus working engine and drive. I found a combo setup and as soon as I can will install it. then will start on the rest of the nickel and dime stuff. This is however crazy, my only way to get a boat this large. I am an Independant truck driver and could never afford a $100K boat. So I'll just redo some older model and keep up all the while holding a Classic...
So Here we go...:smt101

Sundancer,
You can't brag about 300 days of sun when you get 63" of snow in one month. That's ridiculous! :smt009

I agree with you...probably lots of use AND neglect...I got it from a national company off EBay (not thru EBay) so no recourse. A great price and I asked point blank what was wrong with it....the sales manager just out right lied to me. Said in writing there was nothing wrong with it. But I bought it sight unseen, I "screwed up, I trusted them", and it's my own fault. I'll deal with it. I learned from it, so we move on...Hope to have everything fixed and up and running by May.

It was closer to 80" but who's counting! Actually, that all appeared in a three week period from Dec 18 to Jan 6. Besides, it snowed at night and was sunny during the day! Hasn't snowed since! That was one of those once every 50 or 100 year records! The REST of the time we're sunny in Eastern, WA!!
