Well, we finally got to take the boat out for a spin since getting it in February. The weather here has been pretty bad, and the rivers and lakes are swollen/debris ridden, but we decided it was time to get our first run under our belts. We went to Folsom lake and launched from Browns Ravine. The launch was pretty uneventful once I finally figured out you have to put the drive down if you want it to reverse off of the trailer :smt021 This is the first I/O I've driven, so doing anything aside from starting the engine and backing off is a bit foreign to me as of yet:grin: After the wife parked the truck and trailer, we set off for a leisurely ride. We did a few 20 or so minute rides, coming back to the dock and giving a quick look-see under the engine cover to check for problems. All was good, maybe 1-2 cups of water in the bilge  The 4.3 fires right up and is nice and crisp/responsive thanks in part to my pre check. The day before, I checked/cleaned the cap and rotor, free'd the choke linkage from sticking, set the timing, and gave it a general once-over. She rides real nice and the wife enjoyed it. As you can see by the pic, the wife was a bit uneasy behind the wheel, she's never driven any boat before. She's enthusiastic and wants to learn the whole deal so she can handle the whole operation herself if need be, gotta love that:smt038 The ramp wasn't busy, so the wife wanted to try backing the trailer into the water. I ended up walking next to the truck giving tips and insight while she backed up, it went well and she was very receptive. I think she's gonna be a good ramp companion  Anywho, here's a few pics because I know that's what you guys want to see.
