When I open the faucet, no water is flowing. The pump is not turning on. I wonder if I am missing something simple. I have the accessory switch to on and just open the faucet. Should I do anything else?
I checked the fuse and it is ok, I filled the water tank.
How does the pump get the signal to turn on, is there a switch that is malfunctioning and where is it located?
Thank you for any help.

IIRC, the pump works off a pressure drop.

My fresh water pump is on its own circuit and was on my Regal 2465 as well. If yours is on its own circuit, is it turned on? If not, when you turn on the water, is there power to the pump. If so, I would guess your pressure sensing switch has gone bad.

I think that on your boat there is dedicated fresh water pump switch, not accessory switch. To make sure find pump and using voltmeter check if there is power present on wires going to pump. If there is power - change (or rebuild) pump if not - find correct switch or blown fuse. And I assume that battery switch is in on position and batteries are charged. And on some models accessories work only when ignition switch is in on or accessory position.

Thanks for the help guys. I found the the problem and , as I suspected, it was not a problem but the manual was not clear. There is an additional switch on the helm to activate the fresh water pump. The manual only mentions the accessory switch.
We now have fresh water !!!

What is the suggested treatment for fresh holding tank? I bought a 2005 that has been sitting for awhile. I added water and it has a sort of pleasant odor. Is there a faster way to flush the tan besides opening the shower heads and sink faucet?

Tom,
First welcome to CSR. I usually run a couple of tanks of water through the system @ start-up to the season. I then dump a gallon of bleach in the tank and fill it with water. I run all the faucets ( HOT & Cold ) including the transom shower and then leave the solution in the lines for a couple of days. I follow this with running the tank down and then refilling it. I repeat this process 4-5 times usually while I'm tinkering with other stuff on the boat. I also leave the water heater OFF for this whole procedure. My water is fine afterwards. I'm not sure what others do but I did this with my old boat and continued with my current boat after getting some smelly water out of the hot side when I opened it up this season. Good Luck, I'm sure others will chime in on this.

A 1/2 cup of clorine bleach in the water tank every other fill, or about 3-4 times a summer..
