First Summer on the Dog House

I"m glad I'm not the only one who has a dog that is a pu$$y. I think I have the only black lab that doesn't swim. We live on the Columbia and he'll go in the water but only as deep as his chest touching the water. Doesn't swim in the pool either. He does have an excuse though--before he adopted us I don't think he was ever around water, plus he's an old guy. Like me. I think he's about 10.5 to 11 years old.

BTW, how did you teach your dog to run a GoPro?

Unbelievable! You just described our black lab to a T! We have to "nudge" her into the pool, off the swim platform, etc. She can swim no problem, just wont go in on her own. Will retrieve a tennis ball on land until she cant breathe anymore...stick in the water past her chest...nope! Her buddy is a golden and at the beach on the bay she wont even follow her in. I guess this makes two of us in the world.

Our first boat was a 1995 250 Sundancer. Loved it. Kids had their "sea legs" before they could walk!

6 months** but yep... One of the downfalls of boating in Canada that's for sure!

& Thanks. Those dogs are truly water dogs... lol. Can't keep them out of the water, or even say the word boat around them!

Too funny....we had to start spelling the word...B O A T so that our dog wouldn't' know where we were going some days. Our dog reacted like yours at the word boat...LO
