First Season in the books

As our 310 Sundancer (“Island Dancer”) is being hauled following our first season as Sea Ray owners I thought I would take a moment to reflect on what was a nearly perfect season.
Our journey took us through four states from our home port in Connecticut into RI, NY, and MA. In all we visited eight Islands along the New England cost, Long Island, Shelter Island, Block Island (x3), Aquidneck Island (Newport), Cuttyhunk Island, Fishers Island, Sandy Point and Star Island. Along the way we made new friends and sadly we lost one who will live on within us.
For the first time in our boating lives we spent eight straight days traveling from port to port. This summer we put just over 600 standard miles on her. As her name suggests we did indeed “dance” from Island to Island.
Now that she is out to bed and the snow prepares to fall for another gloomy winter we start our planning for next summer. We look forward to new ports, making new friends and creating memories to last a life time.
And a thank you to all on this board that provided “Sea Ray” guidance and was there to answer any questions that came our way.

It does indeed sound like you had a wonderful season! Although I love my lake, I do sometimes dream of the open sea adventures.

Congrats on the active season. We also hit some of those locales this season (Block, Cuttyhunk, Menemsha, Napatree). Can't wait for Nantucket next season. If you don't mind me asking what marina are you at in Mystic? We were in Old Saybrook this past season but have realized Mystic's location is so ideal and are heading back to Mystic Shipyard this coming season. Perhaps we will see you in the river.

That's great to hear! We plan to make a trip up to Watchill, RI and Block Island this upcoming season. I'd like to hear the details with planning and everything!
