Took the boat out for its first ride this season and the first time since I replaced the engine this winter. It stalled a few times at first when idling or shifting from gear to neutral. By the end of the ride it was idling ok (seemed low to me but didn't stall).
I still have a problem with my fuel shut off valve. It's not opening at all but I can just turn it to bypass and the boat will run. I thought it would be controlled by the computer but the wiring diagram shows it just opens when the ignition is on. So that should be an easy fix.
The only other problem I now have is I have drive oil leaking from between the drive and the prop so I'm guessing a prop shaft seal. I noticed the puddle of oil in the driveway the next morning.
All in all I think it was a good first run after an engine install.
