First Day of Spring

107 days to splash time for me. :smt089. I can't wait to sleep on the boat again. :smt038

Between myself and maybe three other owners in the marina we are the only ones that go down there in the cold months.....Everyone says we are crazy but I can't be away from my boat that long...if possible I would never leave...is that an illness???

Dustin, I'm with you on that :smt001.

They forgot to put a door in the shrink wrap so now I can only stand there and look at her.. :smt089

I was just down at my boat yesterday that is resting nice and cozy in heated storage doing some buffing and polishing on the transom. Took the rear curtains home to clean and put protectorant on. Probably will be back in a few days to put them back up and do some more polishing. My old slip was frozen over and I had to walk through some snow to get to the heated storage building door but heck it's winter in Chicago. I even am able to plug my shore power line into a 15 amp outlet to charge the battery.

Well believe it or not we had 3" of snow here in Alabama Christmas morning and I still went to the boat. 28 degrees and it was cold. Not what you guys get up north but I couldn't imagine not being able to walk on to my boat and she not floating.:smt009

I was on the boat yesterday, too. The weather was 54 degrees and I was nice and toasty inside now that my heater works. Oh....the boat is still in the water and I think we may stay on board Friday night. I nice quiet New Year's Eve in my favorite place.

Thinking that is the same thing I'm gonna do fri night lows in the upper 40's to low 50's here and I don't have to get on the road to go anywhere afterwards....something about the water slapping the hull makes me sleep like a rock :smt038
